Size: approx. 5 - 10 inches
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and exotic airplants of them all. This Tillandsia is also one of the biggest varieties often growing to 16 inches across. It has wide silvery leaves that curve under giving it a soft round very appealing shape. The tall multi-forked spike turns orange to red and tops off with numerous, luminous tubular purple blooms. This variety requires a couple hours of direct morning sun to reach it’s fill potential and when dry the leaves will curl in towards themselves resembling ringlets which has lead to its very popular nickname "Goldilocks.”
Place them in a bright kitchen window or outside in a mostly shady spot but remember that all tillandsia/air plants flourish with a little morning sun. Soak under water, over night, once per week.
