Streptophylla is one of the more unusual varieties and is not always available being a slower growing whilst also being a favorite of tillandsia enthusiasts. It has a fat bottom and wide silvery curly leaves. Because it has such an unusual shape it is usually displayed alone. Given the best conditions of light and moisture it will grow to be quite big and fat. When mature and happy it will produce a tall helicopter shaped pink and purple bloom. Give her a little extra light to help her thrive.
Place them in a bright kitchen window or outside in a mostly shady spot but remember that all tillandsia/air plants flourish with a little morning sun. Soak under water, overnight, once a week.
